Statement from AFC Governing Board
The AFC Governing Board announces the appointment of a part-time AFC Director, Michelle Doster, effective November 5, 2018.
Michelle is in her fifth year with AFC. She has been a driving force behind the creation of our girls basketball program. She currently serves as our Girls Basketball Coordinator, and she was recently appointed to serve as the AFC Financial Secretary. Michelle is also coaching multiple girls basketball teams this winter, and she previously served as a coach in our in-house kinder soccer program. In light of Michelle's appointment, a future announcement will be forthcoming on a replacement for Michelle as AFC Financial Secretary.
Our AFC Governing Board and our sports coordinators are committed to fulfilling AFC's mission -- to bring children and families to Jesus Christ through sports. We continue to fulfill this mission as a Designated Ministry of Bethany Church, and we are grateful for the support that Bethany Church continues to provide.
We are working hard on our Winter 2018/19 basketball and flag football programs, and we've already started preparations for our Spring 2019 flag football, soccer, and AAU basketball programs. We look forward to where God will lead the AFC ministry in the weeks and months to come.
We thank Quay Brashear for his 10 years of service to the AFC ministry. We wish him well in his future endeavors.
